Museums and Archives

For 2008, we are launching a new leadership programme "Take the Lead" for new and existing leaders in the public libraries sector.

Take the Lead

"Take the Lead" aimed at developing the next generation of leaders. These programmes will provide a specific focus on museums and archives services, helping managers to see their role in the wider context of cultural services.  This is an exciting opportunity for this sector and the courses are being delivered in partnership with the MLA.

These programmes follow in the footsteps of the groundbreaking Leading Archives and Musuems programme, which were also delivered in partnership with the MLA.

Action for Archives

Strategic Planning and Fundraising Programme

This high level strategic programme is being made available to archive services by the Museums Libraries and Archives Council. The places are fully subsidised.

This is a unique opportunity for archive services to benefit from the high level support and expertise of specialist consultants and learning facilitators in dealing with a key strategic issue. The programme works alongside archive services to enhance capacity to respond effectively to an issue of your choice.
