Transformational Leadership Questionnaire (TLQ)

The TLQ is at the cutting edge of leadership assessment and development for senior managers. It is a 360-degree feedback instrument, which invites the individual, his/her peers and direct reports to rate their leadership behaviour and impact.

Essentially the TLQ measures ‘the way you do things’ and ‘the effects you have on others’.

What the TLQ offers:
  • A detailed diagnostic report for each individual. This report is confidential and available only to the individual manager
  • An opportunity for the manager to share this diagnostic report with a qualified coach in an individual feedback session and work on a personal development plan to strengthen areas of concern that can then be constructed and implemented
  • A group report for the whole team. This compares this particular group of managers with other groups of managers against the TLQ’s 14 dimensions, which are based on the largest ever investigation into the nature of leadership
What the TLQ Development Process consists of
  • An initial half-day briefing to senior team on what the instrument offers and how it will be used.
  • Access to the TLQ for senior teams and detailed diagnostic reports.
  • Individual feedback sessions for all members of the senior team with an accredited coach.
  • A facilitated day with whole senior team focussed on the group report which reviews the team, as a whole, against all 14 of the TLQ dimensions. This day will provide the group with the opportunity to look at their strengths/weaknesses as a team and consider how they plan to move forward with this.
