Match Funding
Match funding refers to an approach whereby a funding body matches the amount of funding supplied by the organisation receiving the workforce development. We have pioneered this approach in every sector we work in.
The benefits of this approach are threefold:
1) It allows more participants to access the training
2) Government investment goes further, meaning they are likely to continue
this investment in future
3) It establishes a budget for workforce development, ensuring future investment in leadership
It has been hugely successful and is best highlighted by the award-winning Transforming Youth Work Management programme. This course established a training budget within local authorities for leaders and managers in services for young people, which has been more than matched by the recent government investment in these staff from 2009-11.
