Kevin Ford, MA (Cantab)
Kevin established FPM Training in 2001 to specialise in providing high quality management and leadership development to public services.
He was previously a management consultant, trainer and writer for sixteen years, working mainly with local authorities and voluntary sector organisations. He specialised in the development of inter-organisational relationships, organisational change and development, governance and the involvement of users in decision-making processes.
Kevin was an Academic Consultant with the University of Leicester Management Centre, where he taught on the full time MBA programme. He has contributed to management programmes at the Judge Institute, Cambridge, City University and the University of Staffordshire. He has used his expertise to contribute to every FPM Training programme delivered to date. He is also the author of over 20 publications on management and governance, including Leading and Managing Services for Young People (2005).
Kevin was a founder member and the first Chair of the National Association of Volunteer Bureaux. He sat on the Board of the Volunteer Centre UK and served as a trustee of the East Midlands Shape arts project. He is currently a trustee of the development charity, Resource Africa.
